You're engaged, YAY! If you've booked your engagement session, one thing you'll want to start thinking about next are the locations for your session! After photographing multiple engagement sessions around Nashville and always being asked about locations, I decided to round up my five favorite Nashville spots for your engagement session!
1. Downtown Nashville Parking Garage Rooftop
Parking garage rooftops are one of my favorite go-to's! The lighting is always fabulous, I love how open and big the space is, and it's super cute if your outfit is more on the dressy or edgy side! It's also so fun for flash photography! One of my couples wanted to do flash photos on a rooftop at the end of their engagement session with champagne and it was such a vibe.
This is the quintessential spot for engagement photos! I love so many things about the Parthenon - one being the fact that it's a neutral background so whatever outfit you wear, it will pop in your photos and look amazing. I also love the Parthenon because there is also a garden area right next to it where you can do your more casual outfit with a totally different look (and you don't have to spend time traveling to a second location!). The lighting is also great at this location and is shaded on those super sunny days!
This location is in Franklin and it is SO worth the quick drive! This is one of my favorite locations because they have this big, open field that gets the B E S T golden hour ever! There's also a ton of different background locations around the farm - there's a super cute white picket fence, a ton of buildings, a pond, and a creek!
4. War Memorial
If you're wanting dressed up, formal vibes for your engagement session, then the War Memorial is the perfect spot for you! I absolutely love this location because it feels like you left Nashville and are taking your photos in Rome! It's super elegant and classy and will always be one of my favorites!
5. Cornelia Fort Airpark
This location is in the East Nashville area and it's perfect for anyone who wants to do their first location in the city, but wants to do their second location in a more green/open field spot. It's super close to downtown and really easy to get to! It used to be an airport, but now it's a big, open park and it's perfect for anyone who's wanting a more country or open field vibe!
That's a wrap on my top five locations for engagement session in the Nashville area! If you are one of my wedding couples, I highly recommend asking me for my location guide! I always recommend two locations that are fairly close to each other, but offer two different looks for your session and outfits. If you have your outfits picked out, I would highly suggest asking your photographer what locations they would recommend based off of your outfits and what look you're going for!
